We appreciate all of your support for Spokes ‘N Spurs 2010 and for your understanding of the difficult decision to cancel the event on Saturday morning due to the storms in our area. The weather on Thursday was forecasting 30% chance of rain for Saturday morning. We made the call to continue with our plans for the ride and were setting up Friday and early Saturday morning. We were going to try to let the storms pass on Saturday morning, but one storm came and then another band was coming so we decided to cancel the ride at 6:15 am Saturday morning after watching the radar. Basically, we were completely set up for the ride and have incurred all the costs of putting on the ride even though we cancelled. This is a fundraiser for the ranch, unfortunately we cannot afford to reschedule and incur another set of costs, we hope you understand. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused many of you. Thank you for all the support in 2010 we hope to see you in 2011 for the Spokes 'N Spurs ride. |

We want everyone to have the reusable bags we had made for the ride, your t-shirt, as well as all the information on upcoming cycling events that are included in your packet. We are hosting 2 additional packet pick-ups:

  Spirit
Reins is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the
emotional and behavioral health of children with the help of horses.
Our programs target abused and neglected children, children in foster
care and children with emotional or behavioral disturbances. Spirit
Reins offers Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP); an internationally
recognized experiential therapy program that partners licensed
therapists with horse specialists and horses to create an environment
where clients learn new, useful and life changing skills. Spirit
Reins is dedicated to Hope… something too many children in our community
have lost. With your help, we can offer these children hope, healing
and unconditional acceptance. |
